Information Expert Claims to Have Scientific Proof of God's Existence
To say you have scientific proof of God's existence is an amazing claim, I know, but this man, Perry Marshall, may just be right. You'll have to watch at least the first few parts of this to understand his thesis, but if any presentation was ever worth the time, this is it.
If you do watch it, leave a comment and let us know what you think.
BORING!!!!!!!

BORING!!!!!!

I would expect that a 10 year old might find Perry’s presentation boring but an intelligent adult should find the argument intellectually fascinating. Sam, there are things beyond just being entertained.

I haven't watched the video yet but will tonight.
Probably of equal "boringness" is Dr. Robert Gentry. His work is mind boggling. He has several reports that completely debunk the "big bang" (uncontested by the way), and has done fantastic research on the creation of the earth (granite in general). Search "pluonium halos" (hint-scientific evidence of a much younger earth, and a quick creation). Notice I said "evidence" and not proof. To use the word proof you need only consensus of theory, instead of evidence.

The argument that DNA code is a language and all that that entails is elegant and powerful. Though I've come to the conclusion that the theory of Evolution (say survival of the fittest) isn't so much the problem as is what I term the theory of the Evolved (a superhuman elite that will either replace or rule the rest of us ) being advocated by Dawkins and other atheists. These are people who seek to eradicate religion or at least use it to discredit the religious as weak, stupid or delusional presumably in an attempt to order society according to a very different set of values than those of our ancestors.
Anyone who has visited Dawkins' website knows that he wields the random mutation argument like an axe to destroy any belief in a supreme being. I can only venture guesses as to why intellectuals like Dawkins insist there can't be a God of any sort. The argument that people commit heinous acts in the name of religion is specious at best because people can and do rationalize such acts for many reasons not just their religious beliefs. I'm sure such people would offer a code derived from the Humanist Manifesto or even the Communist Manifesto in place of religious law and can't help but fear the total enmity towards religion among the intellectual elite who would replace religious institutions with secular ones.
Great stuff. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. BTW, I noticed that Marshall copyrighted his work on his cosmic fingerprints site in 2005. I can't believe I've never seen this before. Where has Marshall been? Where have I been?

That series is one of the most UN-boring things I have ever seen. He compiles science, mathematics and philosophy to the question of ID versus chance. Another fun exploration is the PHI and the PHI ratio...random chance? www.goldennumber.net
Very well organized!
Thanks for posting it Selwyn!

I was somewhat disappointed by the video (no doubt because of the buildup of Selwyn's title line) but I am looking forward to the remainder of the series.
Walt, have you looked into the Cambrian explosion of life and the similar Cretaceus flower explosion? Fascinating stuff.
Has anyone seen the work of the Discovery Institute (available through Illustra Media) and the brilliant presentations by scientists and philosophers such as Stephen C. Meyer, Michael Behe, Jonathan Wells, William Dembski, Guillermo Gonzales and David Berlinsky?
I have completed a study in which I have reconciled known and proven science with the events recorded in the book of Genesis. Scientific evidence fits with Holy Writ like a hand in a glove.
