First fallacy of several - it was the chinese that bound feet until the "evil" communists stopped the practice. (And yes, off topic, I do believe the government of mao caused a wholy preventable famine and a huge cultural disaster with 2 key policies). But backtrack all you want, you did conflate intersex (which is NOT hemaphrodism) and gay sex/transex.

You also did not respond to the issue of anorexia which is a part of the illnesses such as severe body dismorphia where healthy limbs are rejected. My point then and now is not that we do not ry and treat these issues but that we dont know yet HOW to effectively treat these issues.

Finally yes sexual behaviour is frequently divorced from gender attraction eg; your spartans. from my point of view that kind of reinforces the old Kinsey idea of a sliding scale EG most of us are not 100% hetero or homo sexual. the english public school system was another example where men who in later life were exclusively heterosexual had homosexual relationships in their youth.

I am assuming from your writing that very little could make you adopt a wide stance or commit to a relationship with someone of the same gender, why them do you think it is different for an adult homosexual? Particularly when then evidence for anti gay therapy is so very very unsuccessful?

The question is, why is your assumption of who is man and woman more valid than any other? When you say common sense, isn't that just a feeling either? Common sense is known to change over time and cultures, too. Once it was common sense that the earth is flat, and it was quite a while until it settled in after it was prooven otherwise.

Without modern science no one would have ever questioned Miss Semeneyas sex. So all your claims that you make are based on preselected (and reduced) science.

Shurely there is a component of peer pressure that can lead people to act. In example homosexuals who even marry and use a morning errection to produce offspring (poor wifes). Isn't this a lie? And is it really in the best interest of those involved?

With the conflation of BIID and the transsexual condition...
I answered that on a post who made similar conlusions:

Only halfway thought through
You have made some sound reaoning but you did it not to the end. You are right about not judging who is a man or a woman based on existing or missing body parts. Or based on the level of hormons. But there you stopped. Sexual Identity is rooted in the brain, a good 101 on that is to be found at BiGender and the Brain: http://aebrain.blogspot.com/search?q=bigender and for deeper studies I say study the biologists Dr. Drandz Blog Science and Sexuality http://drdrantz-sciencesexuality.blogspot.com/
You see, men are born men, and women are born women - the problem is, you can't judge it in a toddler. So no one ist born as "Mark" and was a boy and then suddenly becomes "Laura" and is a girl. (The fictional) Laura was always always a girl. The most importent part of her body was always female. So you compare “body dysmorphia" to transsexuality - well there is an error in the brain wich injoured the body map of a person. I see the similaritys. A boys brain in an otherwise girl body gives the signals that there is something missing, while girls can't relate to this cultural so import item down below. But that comes from a healthy brain. A complete female or male brain. So its not exactly the same, while symptoms may be similar.

So its not on you to judge whos male or female, by now its only the person self who can tell you. When diagnosis via fMRT gets better, a judging from the outside will most likely be possible.

Selwyn's rebuttal to his critics is a scathing indictment of the reprobate mind in the modern "liberal". The two previous comments galvanizes all of his points.

The two previous points make eloquent arguments that are devoid of any yardstick of morality and Truth.

I repeat a previous position that if Selwyn is writing a book, I wish to place an advance order.

Selwyn, I'm not sure how you do it, writing these articles and getting comments from people who absolutely refuse to follow any logic whatsoever. It would drive me mad.

To Bad Hair,

It isn't his assumption of what is man and woman. It is biology, hard science as he stated. Do you know the difference between hard and soft science?

Thinking the earth was flat was not based on ANY science, so I don't see what your point is. Your argument here about gender would be the same as arguing that the earth is flat AFTER it was proven to be round. We have pictures of round earth, men have testicles, women have ovaries. To argue that the earth is round and women have testicles is ludicrous.

JonnyVain,

You said, "Common sense is known to change over time and cultures, too. Once it was common sense that the earth is flat, and it was quite a while until it settled in after it was prooven otherwise."

Common sense does not change, neither does the Truth. The flat earthers shared a common belief based upon their speculation or perception. Common sense is not relative neither is the Truth. Common sense is the phenomena of cognitive reasoning that tells a person to react a certain way based upon past life experience or observations. For instance- If a man during his life is stung by a bee or witnesses another person being stung, then he should develop a fear/respect for bees. One lacking common sense would witness the event and then without learning from his experience, catch bees in his hand and be surprised when stung. That is one that lacks common sense. If a person catches bees in their hands over and over, being stung each time, and surprised to-boot...that is an example of insanity (doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result).

The liberal mind operates on the border of a lack of common sense and insanity. We have countless historical examples (micro and macro) of how the liberal ideals fail to deliver; this includes cultures that are bankrupt of sexual morality. An equivalent continuation of the bee euphemism, left thinks that just because the bees stung have them in the right hand several times, what’s to say the same thing will happen if we catch them with the left hand?

Whoa, let's not tarnish my name! Your response is to Bad Hair Day, not Jonny.

JonnyVain

Ok, I see what you did, I quoted Bad Hair Day and you thought it was me speaking.

Walt

Whoa! My BAD. Sorry about that. I just read your other response to Yoyo and it blew me away...I thought you must be a scytso or something. Good response BTW.

Abe

Bathwater?

Bad Hair Days

Hello Jonny.

It's not that easy for biologists, as you asume. It is actually what is done in this conversation over and over again.

Some asume TS/IS conditions are against moral and assume it must be stated like this in there, wich is pretty much so oposite of what is really written there.

It's asuming that science says what you like when it is clearly not.

It's assuming that the gut feeling somenone calls common sense is not reflected in reality.
