After getting in my car the other night, this writer turned on a radio show hosted by a man renowned as a rare moderate in talk radio, although he’s most notable for only moderately deep thinking. He was talking about the Catholic Church sex scandal, and he fielded a caller proposing a unique solution: allow priests to have concubines. This prompted the host to chime in and opine that perhaps the discipline of celibacy should be revisited. After all, said he, it’s only the Catholic Church that has “these problems.” It’s the kind of shallow analysis that passes for social commentary today.
First, the notion that only the Catholic Church “has these problems” is a media-generated fiction. In fact, a recent AP investigation found that sexual misconduct — and cover-ups to avoid scandal — are rampant in the government school system. It discovered 1,801 educators who were found guilty of sexual misconduct with youths between 2001 and 2005 alone. Moreover, reports the AP, this is the tip of the iceberg, as most cases go unreported.

I can't read the website because this interview with savage keeps playing automatically. Selwyn isn't the sharpest tool in the shed is he?

Back out of the site and re-enter. Click on the actual link and not the video. Might help; hope so as you're missing some great articles.

There is a little button on your speaker...turn it counter clockwise...that should solve the problem of audio in the back ground.
Sincerely,

Hey, dd, who's sharpening YOUR tool?? Thenks for the lighter moment!

Sewlyn,
Your article made some great points but it missed the REAL point: This is an attack on the Holy Roman Catholic Church by homosexual activists who are likely pedophiles themselves and in a strategically belated response to the loss in California's "Yes" vote on Proposition 8, which embedded the sanctity of true marriage into their state Constitution.
Since the "immaculation" of Manchurian Candidate Barack Hussein Obama II to the US Presidency, the far Left has been emboldened. The Freak Parade wants to "get while the getting's good" and there is a tsunami of the far-Left wish list that are attempting to overwhelm civil society and decent human beings with their abherrent, abhorrant, perveted, licentious and frankly sick preferences and policies in a shock-and-awe campaign that assaults human dignity and common-sense pragmatism.
Our supposed "safe schools" czar is a flaming and radical homosexual (that would be Kevin Jennings) who has publicly endorsed pedophilia, for Christ's sake!
This past weekend I walked past newsstands whose headlines denounced both Pope Benedict XVI and Pope John Paull II; two of the greatest spiritual leaders of this past Century in a deceitful attempt to smear these great men. I am not a Roman Catholic, but I spit on and curse the slime merchants who write such crap.
None of these vermin reported on Leftist talk show host Bernie Ward of KGO in San Francisco; the supposed "lion of the left" (a fat slob scumbag, if there ever was one) after he was convicted of trafficing in child pornography and engaging in on-line fantasies of sexual child abuse with HIS OWN FREAKING CHILDREN!!!!
Duplicity, thy name is the modern and so-called "liberal". I have a more descript term: HYPOCRITE.

"Behold?" Really, behold? It's 2010, Doofy. You're not in the middle ages, if you haven't figured that one out yet. Behold...hahahahaha...Behold.
Posted by: Larrry Rivera | April 03, 2010 at 02:48 PM
Dear Larry,
"Behold" is a one-word Figure of Speech. Since you repeatedly demonstrate that you cannot communicate though and expression beyond the fourth-grade level, allow me to help.
Figures of Speech are used to add emphasis to point where a more simplistic expression fails to provide impact.
In this case, the usage of the word "behold" is the Figure of Speech "Asterismos" from which we have the common word "asterisk". It is obvious from your reply that this usage worked like a charm.
Happy Easter.

Blow me punk.

Philip,
Sorry, that was uncalled for. Well, it was called for. But, it was inappropriate…and crude. Anyway, my offending remark has probably already been censored clean and you never even saw it. But, if you did…Don’t be insulted. It was just an “asterismos.”

Just put it down to too much chocolate but for real offense you cant go past recreations of the crucifiction. When I first heard of this 100kms down the road, I thought it was tasteless artists or tasteless atheists but no- it was tasteless christians.

hope you've had a relaxing easter, I for one have been totally burnt out lately.

Dearest Yoyo.
What is your point (aside from the one atop your head)?
Yes, I am certain that you found this reenactment tasteless, but again, your head is so far up your behind that you missed the point. You could have, and SHOULD have learned something from this.
That you failed to do so speaks volumes about how shallow a thinker and human being you are.
Precious Yoyo, I would dearly love to think better of you and I dearly wish I could have 30 days with you to habilitate you but you are a certified air-head. You can't seem to think beyond the headlines that these radical and Marxist lunatics and psychopaths plant in your head.
God shed His grace and mercy on thee.

Yoyo,
Those are some great photos on that link. I especially liked the one with the kid and the Easter Bunny standing next to Mr. Maschosist Tree there on the sidewalk.
I guess the cops in your country don’t have a sense of humor. But where do they? Anyway I’m sure it was all in good fun.
To bad somebody didn’t walk by with a spear and add another dimension to that stage version of a Mel Gibson movie. Mel’s from your part of the world too isn’t he?
Hey, what’s going on over there?
