You can believe me when I say that I have no affection for Julian Assange. It’s clear that he’s a self-centered publicity seeker who, in grand leftist style, will subordinate the good of others to his own ambitions. But this doesn’t mean I’m incapable of judging him fairly, and, frankly, I’ve never heard anything more preposterous than the “rape” charges currently leveled against him.
Here’s a thumbnail version of the story that was presented in The Daily Mail: On August 11, Assange arrived in Stockholm, Sweden to give a speech at a seminar hosted by the left-wing Brotherhood Movement. His contact person — a woman the newspaper will identify only as “Sarah” (owing to ongoing legal proceedings) — had invited him to stay in her Stockholm apartment, and, you guessed it, they ended up sleeping together. Unbeknownst to Sarah at the time, however, Assange had already slept with another, much younger leftist admirer the Mail calls “Jessica.”
Jessica was worried, however. Because Assange refused to wear a condom, she was concerned she might be pregnant or have contracted a disease. Seeking an ear to bend, she placed a phone call to Sarah, who, as luck (or bad luck, from Assange’s perspective) would have it, she happened to have met during the Brotherhood Movement meeting. The women ended up comparing notes and realized they had been two-timed. That’s when the trouble began.
Read the rest here.
This Anti-male movement reminds me of my favorite Animal Farm quote, "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others". This accurately describes that women should not only be held as good as men, but should be held to a much higher regard according to the movement. Are we supposed to believe that men are rapacious, violent, and corrupt individuals that should be treated as second class citizens? According to Sweden the answer is yes, but common sense says no. This attack on set roles for men and women, and that women should do what men do (and is claimed that they can do it better)the work force of the world would crumble. Men and women are not only physically different, they are also psychologically different. Men do certain tasks better than women, and vice versa. People should come to grips to this and accept that men and women will always be different. They should however be held as individuals socially equal. That is the equality of sexes in that regard, not that women and men are different with their strengths and weaknesses, but rather as human being, they are equal.

Selwyn's analysis is brilliant and spot-on.
I come away from this episode (albeit ongoing) with a reinforced understanding that modern liberalism is a mental disorder. It is also one that is profoundly unsafe, even to (and especially) those who maintain its deluded positions.
That modern liberalism (which is more accurately known as "leftism", as liberals are hardly liberal, they are among the most fascist and intolerant people on the planet) is a mental disorder has been documented by some of the greatest minds on the planet:
Dr, Michael Savage, PhD in his bestseller "Liberalism is Mental Disorder".
Dr. Lyle H. Rossiter, Jr., M.D. in his book "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness.
Dr. Peter Breggin (www.breggin.com); a leading Psychiatrist.
Judge Robert H. Bork in his bestseller "Slouching Toward Gomorrah" (I also recommend his brilliant tome "The Tempting of America: The Political Seduction of the Law"). Judge Bork is among the most brilliant minds extant. Learning of American jurisprudence is admittedly difficult reading, but to absorb the musings of such an extraordinary mind is most rewarding.
The Western world, after its extraordinary triumphs that were inspired by a Christian ethos, are being eroded by limp-wristed Lillipututians. It is time that we shout back and demand an acknowledgement of veritas!

I don't know why you chose to focus on this issue with all the damage that assange has done. He's far worse than merely being a "a self-centered publicity seeker". I don't care about the rape charge, but I know assange is guilty of waging war on America.

A paleoconservative should realise that all Wikileaks and Mr. Assange has done is reinforce our understanding about Government, globalism, foreign wars of nation building and its supporters.
