If you’re a stay-at-home mom, I don’t think you’ll like a policy that makes it harder for your husband to support your family. Yet Barack Obama is advocating just such a policy — it’s called the “Paycheck Fairness Act” (PFA).
While pushing the legislation in a radio address this past Saturday, Obama said, “Today, women still earn on average only about 75 cents for every dollar a man earns. That’s a huge discrepancy.” It certainly is, and the implication is that it’s a function of discrimination. But is this true?

Keynesian economists and social engineers accuse Austrian Economists of being, "economists who don't believe in statisitcs." As this article points out, figures don't lie but liars figure. The talking heads use statistics (or should I say statistics that support thier goal) to lend credibility to their claim. I have seen and disproven their claims so many times, each time I hear a person use a stat, a BS alert goes off in my head and instead of gaining credibility they lose it with me. It is also typical for a leftist to use statistics to prop up an argument which can not be supported by logic. In this case a person must realize one of the two (logic or statistical "evidence") must be wrong, since there is only one truth to every matter. Thank you for doing the homework on this one Selwyn, stats are too often left unchalenged.
