I reside in Northern California where we (thankfully) have no toll roads (yet). What we have instead are car pool lanes that restrict access to lanes of traffic during the peak hours to cars with at least two, and sometimes three passengers. It had to be a moronic, self-righteous, do-gooder Leftist that came up with that idea.

During peak hours, the only folks using these lanes are soccer moms and tourists. If it were not for these lanes, the soccer moms and tourists would likely wait out the rush hours and drive in the in-between hours of morning and late-afternoon traffic, thus freeing the roads for everyday commerce.
