Women who have abortions usually want to put the experience behind them, tucking the memory away in the recesses of their minds. But not Emily Letts. Instead, the 25-year-old former actress filmed her surgical abortion — and then posted the video on the Internet. She says she wanted to present “a positive abortion story.”
Letts, now an abortion counselor at Cherry Hill Women’s Center in New Jersey, wrote in Cosmopolitan recently that she was “breathing and humming through” the abortion as if she was “giving birth.” She explained, “To me, this was as birth-like as it could be.” Immediately after the abortion she can be heard exclaiming, “Yeah, cool.”
Letts’ video has evoked all the expected responses, with support from pro-abortion individuals, people vowing to pray for her conversion, and some nasty e-mails from disgusted viewers. But there have also been unexpected responses — from pro-abortion respondents who consider Letts’ video “creepy.” For example, Neon Nettle’s Marnie Wayne wrote, in a scathing critique, “Here at Neon Nettle, we are certainly pro-choice — but her cavalier attitude and attempt to claim her fifteen minutes had us all astounded.... Emily looks forward to her abortion and enjoys the process as if she were nipping in for a manicure.”

If this video is real than this woman is a ghoul, a monster.
However, I have many good reasons to doubt her. People on the left value their agenda more than they value truth (one wonders if they value truth at all). The killing of a baby in its mother’s womb is grotesque and horrifying.
Getting back to my reasons for doubt, how often does it occur when we her stories about the racially motivated vandalism of college dorm rooms and the so-called racially motivated slashing of tires and it turns out that victim was also the perpetrator? Tawanna Brawley was no isolated incident and who can forget the phony Duke Lacrosse team scandal?
If one wishes to seek balance this video, anyone who dares to consider him or herself intellectually honest will also watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gON-8PP6zgQ.
The documentarian and narrator of this second video is none another than Bernard Nathanson, founder of NARAL, one of the nation’s loudest and most obnoxious pro-infanticide organization. Nathanson admitted to lying and exaggerating statistics in the lead-up to the dreadful and calamitous Roe v. Wade decision. He has since done a 180 and now is staunchly pro life.
Furthermore, when one peels back the layers of the onion that is this debate, one learns of the following consequences:
· Several occurrences of severe depression of the mother.
· That even the fathers (when and if they are aware that he is, in fact, the father) experience what psychologists describe as “anniversary depression” and rue the death of the infant on the anniversary of its murder.
· The alarming rates of suicide for mothers who murder their infants (which increases exponentially if they commit this crime a second and/or a third time).
· The alarming rates of breast cancer for mothers who commit infanticide to the fruit of their own wombs. Once again, rates of breast cancer increase astronomically if the offender undergoes a second and/or third human sacrifice.
There simply is no excuse or defense for this crime, nor the trivialization of it in the form of this video. I am still convinced that the video is a hoax.
