This is a typically excellent, clear-thinking article.

But it makes me angry. Angry because it should not ever have to be written. The clear, simple truths you point out should be immediately obvious to anyone who thinks.

I do not believe Aimee Lewis or the rest of the Equality(TM) enforcers are stupid enough to actually believe their own rhetoric. I can't believe it. Which means they're either malicious, or fools, enslaved to and blinded by their own ideology.

You're right to point out that the Bible "barely mentions the notion", but I would add to your example two extra occasions that it does:

Firstly, when Paul says Jesus did "not count equality with God a thing to be grasped". If ever there was a time when equality could justly be claimed, it was by Jesus, God in the form of man.

Secondly, when Paul says there is no Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, but we are all one in Christ. Far from actually claiming that these categories are equal to each other, he is saying that despite their differences, they are equal before God. In other words, inequality is real, but the one form of equality all men (AND women) do have is their equal standing before our Creator.

That's the only kind of equality we should be concerned about.

Very close to your heart, Mr. Duke.
Gala León García (a former FEMALE professional tennis player from Spain), on 21 September 2014 was announced as the new Davis Cup captain for the Spanish national MEN's tennis team.

Equality is a fool's errand. It might be achived, but only at the expense of individual liberty. Which do you prefer?
