Yep, good question.

If we knew what "normal" for people is, then we would know all there is relevant to every other question too.

Other than to reiterate this climate picture of yours, which is correct, the solar input to our varying orbital path is more important than some extra CO2. However, being outside the orbit for water to be liquid by the sun alone, other factors are needed for life to exist here, as explained in a Science News article earlier this century. The writer of a paper at American Thinker examined the orbital / CO2 issue for the Northern Hemisphere and found CO2 increased as the Earth cooled depending on several cyclic elements.

But then, the Earth is still poorly understood as it is. Throw in people and . . . . .
