Which evangelist said the above? Billy Graham? Pat Robertson? Jerry Falwell?

Actually, it was Democratic president Harry Truman.

“Give ’Em Hell Harry” wasn’t alone. In 1935, fellow Democrat and New Deal author President Franklin Roosevelt said in a statement, “We cannot read the history of our rise and development as a Nation, without reckoning with the place the Bible has occupied in shaping the advances of the Republic.”

"Liberalism is a mental disorder," commentator and ex-radio host Michael Savage would say, uttering a line that became one of his book titles. Critics might label this assertion polemics designed to boost entertainment value, but it may be vindicated by research. Just consider the 2021 study finding that more than 50 percent of young, liberal, white women have been diagnosed with some form of “mental health” problem. And, now, there’s this as evidence, too: Leftists melting down like snowflakes in an oven over Donald Trump’s election victory. In fact, it’s worse than that.

One liberal female scribe is actually “canceling” Thanksgiving and Christmas. She won’t be “celebrating the birth of Jesus,” she writes, with people who won’t rubber-stamp baby murder. (Ironic since Christmas celebrates a baby’s birth.)

Okay, she didn’t quite phrase it that way, but murder is a theme here. After all, there are also the leftists who, finding themselves unbalanced after Trump’s triumph, actually killed family members.

Anti-Christianity? “Black” Church Attendance Actually INCREASES Support for Kamala

Church-attendance habits have long been one of the best predictors of voting patterns. That is, regular attendees support Republicans by a significant margin, while those never or seldom attending break solidly Democrat. But a new study has revealed a striking exception to this rule: black American churchgoers.

In fact, just the opposite as with whites, black church attendees are more likely to support Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris than are black Americans who never attend.

Canada Fines Amish $300K for Not Using Covid App on Smartphones They Don’t Have

It’s right up there, or down there, with kicking puppies and putting kittens in clothes dryers. How else, after all, would you characterize the tormenting of the Amish, everyone’s favorite quaint, pacifistic Luddites? Well, there is another way — as something Justin Trudeau’s Canada is currently doing.

The story, which broke a month ago, is striking. Ontario’s Amish community is being fined $300,000 ($222,660 U.S.) for not downloading the Canadian government’s Covid app. This is even though Covid fear is about as far past its sell-by date as Joe Biden is. It’s even though religious freedom is supposed to be a priority in Western nations. And, for a kicker, it’s even though the Amish reportedly don’t use the smartphones necessary for downloading the app.

The story also has wider implications. As American Thinker points out, it’s “a preview of coming attractions if Kamala becomes president.” That is, given enough power, U.S. leftists would behave just as their Great White North comrades do. They’d tyrannize us — for our own good, of course.

Does Christian Fundamentalism “Infect” Our Schools?

As if cuing ominous music, we hear incessant warnings today about “Christian nationalism” and “fundamentalism.” We’re supposed to fear these forces and, in particular, their alleged inroads into education. In fact, as the Los Angeles Times writes this week, this phenomenon threatens to “destroy” our schools and transform us “from a democracy to a theocracy.”

Why, if students hear about God at all, they just may get the crazy idea that government is not their highest power.

Oklahoma has, some sources say, the dubious distinction of having the greatest number of strong tornadoes per unit area in the United States. One tornado that won’t hit the state, however, is a storm of satanic “ministers” in government schools, says Oklahoma’s top education official. The satanists are, though, announced Superintendent Ryan Walters, “welcome to go to Hell.”

Whether or not he sticks to his holy guns, government schools long ago went to hell in a handbasket. Enabled by favorable court rulings and craven local officials, there already are After School Satan Club “programs” in schools in at least four states, The New York Times reported December 15, 2023 — California, Ohio, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.

A judge found, back in 2021 already, that government officials violated a January 6 defendant’s civil rights by impeding his access to medical care. That hapless man isn’t alone, either. Other incarcerated 2020 Capitol protesters have alleged likewise, and now, reports hold, there are two more examples of what many would interpret as government attempts to kill imprisoned political opponents.

It’s ironic. Missionaries from Britain and other Western nations once struck out into the largely unknown, uncivilized world to spread Christianity.

Now, says a Scottish-born writer, Christians are “the most despised minority in Britain.”

Moreover, this Christophobia permeates the entire Western world — including the United States.

It’s also attended, though, by a very interesting double standard (more on that later).

Purging Christianity to Please Muslims: German Schools Nix Christian Festival

One critic calls it the “Islamic conquest of the West.” Others say it’s a sign of a collapsing West. But on the heels of a story about European churches removing crosses to accommodate Muslim migrants comes another in the same vein: Some German primary schools and daycare centers are renaming a traditional Christian festival to avoid “offending” Islamic newcomers.

This latest victim of political correctness is St. Martin’s Day, also known as the Feast of St. Martin. Held on November 11 after the harvest, it’s a traditional autumn event on the Christian calendar. But just as how American school calendars long ago renamed the Christmas and Easter breaks, respectively, “winter” and “spring” breaks, secular forces in Germany see fit to further de-Christianize their nation. And the new committee-worthy name they’ve chosen for the feast day is the “Festival of Lights.”
