So here is White House Communications Director Anita Dunn saying that Mao Tse-tung is one of her two "favorite philosophers." She then quotes him and holds him up as a role model for the students to whom she is speaking.
Well, what can I say? Is anybody listening? Anyone? Anywhere? Is this the kind of thing those of you on the left defend? Does it at all matter to you that Barack Obama has friends, allies and appointees who are avowed communists? Do you care that this appointee, Dunn, admires someone who murdered more people than Hitler?
Dunn also has a very strange and annoying habit of licking her lips noticeably and gratuitously every five seconds or so. This is definitely not a psychologically healthy woman.
Getting back to the rest of you on the left, you'd better think very carefully about whom you're supporting and why. Not only are you sowing the seeds of your own destruction, but when history is finally written, you won't be remembered kindly.
Choose wisely.
Wild, Wild Kanye West

Everyone has seen the video of Kanye West running up onto the stage and snatching the microphone away from 19-year-old country music star Taylor Swift at Sunday's MTV video music awards. West wasn't happy with the choice of Swift as winner and went into a rant about how Beyoncé should have won. Now, just for the record, I've heard neither Swift nor Beyoncé sing and thus can't render any definitive judgments on this subject. What I do know, however, is that I wouldn't consider it positive if an over-rated oaf like West was lobbying for me.
